Badalona Dracs Return to Spanish Bowl After Dominating Osos Rivas in the second Semi-Final

The most decorated team in LNFA history secured their spot in the championship with a commanding 33-13 victory and now aims to reclaim supremacy against LG OLED Black Demons.

Badalona, June 13, 2025 – The Badalona Dracs left no room for doubt. With precise execution and a relentless defense, the Catalan squad defeated Osos Rivas 33-13 in the Spanish National Football League (LNFA) semifinals, booking their ticket to their 19th championship appearance—their first since 2021. Under head coach Óscar Calatayud, the East Conference leaders (7-1) proved why they remain the most successful team in league history (11 titles) and will now challenge the two-time defending champions, LG OLED Black Demons, for the XXXI Spanish Bowl.

A Masterful First Half

The game followed a perfect script for the home team from the opening drive. On their first possession, the Dracs stunned Osos with a perfectly executed trick play: quarterback Paul Singleton handed off to running back Keshawn Williams, who launched a deep pass to a wide-open David Martínez for the first touchdown (7-0). The disoriented Osos defense had no answer for Badalona’s offensive versatility, and Williams soon extended the lead with a powerful rushing score (14-0).

The Catalan secondary, led by Tom Gabarró’s two interceptions and Álex Cerezo dominating performance, locked down Osos quarterback Bryce Macina, while the pass rush smothered any attempt at a response. Just before halftime, Ramir Tann-Davis sealed a dominant first half with a solo touchdown reception off a Singleton pass, making it 20-0 at the break.

Osos Reacts, But Too Late

The Madrid-based team, which entered the playoffs with a shaky 4-4 record, showed pride in the third quarter. Macina connected with Iván Iordanov for Osos' first touchdown (20-7), and their defense, spearheaded by lineman "Chiapas" pressuring Singleton, sparked hope. However, Gabarró’s interception late in the third quarter crushed any momentum.

Sticking to their identity, Badalona put the game away in the final quarter: Martínez hauled in his second touchdown catch from Singleton, and Williams broke loose for a spectacular rushing score to make it 33-7. Osos tried to salvage some pride in the final seconds with a touchdown pass from Adrián Meléndez to Ricky Johns, but the 33-13 scoreline only confirmed the Dracs' dominance.

The Ultimate Challenge: Spanish Bowl

Badalona Dracs return to the national stage after a three-year absence, determined to reclaim their throne. Awaiting them are the Black Demons, who dethroned them in 2023. The final promises a clash of titans, but the Catalans have sent a clear message: they’re ready to take back what was once theirs.
