1st Black Panthers - Thonon-les-Bains
Two more games in the bag, two more victories secured, what more can we say? Well, maybe we should mention that they took down the Flash, one of the toughest opponents out there. And with a flawless win, it’s starting to look like we have a true King of the North emerging.
Last week, they faced the Diables Rouges, and let’s just say it wasn’t exactly a contest. They steamrolled their way to an 8-touchdown blowout, leaving no doubt about who was in charge. And if you’re wondering about José Tabora Jr., the man was on fire. He didn’t just play, he dropped a whole mixtape on the opposition, lighting up the scoreboard with five passing touchdowns and adding another one on the ground just for good measure. Pure domination. The next game against the Cougars shouldn’t be much of a challenge, at least on paper. With the way they’ve been demolishing opponents, this could be the perfect opportunity to see some fresh faces step up. Will we get some rotation on the field? Let’s wait and see, because if the trend continues, this one might be over before it even starts.
2nd Molosses - Asnières-sur-Seine
We believe these past two weeks marked the true turning point of the season for Molosses. A solid, work-man like win against the Léopards set the stage, but the real headline was the statement victory over the Flash. It wasn’t a blowout but a win is a win, and this one carried weight. Let’s not forget, they were caught off guard early with a quick touchdown from the Flash. But instead of crumbling, they responded with a relentless, high-pressure defense that smothered any further attempts to break through. On top of that, their offense showed exceptional poise, capitalizing on every mistake the Flash made. It wasn’t just about scoring, it was about making the most of every opportunity, and that’s exactly what they did to seal the win This is pure cinema, the kind of storyline you dream of in a season. With tensions rising and the rivalry heating up, this matchup could very well be the defining chapter of the playoff race. Buckle up, because things are just getting started. Next week, they’ll be up against the Diables Rouges. The question is, will the momentum still be on their side? After such a performance, it’ll be interesting to see if they can keep that level of intensity and focus going. The Diables Rouges won’t be an easy opponent, and they'll be looking to bounce back strong.
3rd Iron Mask - Cannes
Another turning-point story, this time down South. The Iron Mask completely demolished the Dauphins in their last game, and then followed it up with a dominant win over the Ours, who are direct rivals for the division title. It was a head-to-head clash, and they made a statement by slaying the Ours with authority. We had our doubts, but those are now firmly in the past. No more questions about their legitimacy, this team has proven itself. They’ve become the last undefeated powerhouse in the division. Sure, this division may be considered weaker, but that doesn’t diminish the achievement. It's still a massive milestone in what’s shaping up to be a remembered season. The next challenge comes against the Grizzlys from Perpignan, and it’s another chance for them to prove their dominance. With the streak still alive, the question now is whether they can keep the momentum rolling. The Grizzlys won’t be an easy opponent, but if they stay focused and maintain their intensity, there’s no reason why this run can’t continue. Let’s see if they can keep the streak alive and take another step toward securing that division title.
4th Flash - La Courneuve
We have to choose our words carefully because counting them out just yet would be a mistake. But there’s no denying that the season’s momentum seems to be shifting. Two losses in two straight weeks have shaken things up, and the Flash are no longer the undefeated powerhouse they looked like just a month ago. That said, there’s no reason to panic, this team still has the weapons to keep their hopes alive. Now, it’s all about how they respond. From this point on, every game matters.
They won’t have to wait long for their chance to silence the doubters, as their next test comes against the Léopards. And let’s be clear, a loss here would be more than just a setback. It would be very, very worrying. This is the kind of game that can define a season, for better or worse. Now, it’s up to them to show they still belong in the conversation.
5th Ours - Toulouse
Toulouse only played one game this week, as their matchup against the Argos was dismissed due to a municipal by-law on the field. Unfortunately, that one game didn’t go their way, they fell to their direct rival for the divisional title. Not the best week, but nothing alarming either, considering they just faced the toughest opponent in their group. Now, the focus shifts to bouncing back. With the playoffs approaching, they have a crucial opportunity to regain confidence as they head to Marseille next week. Time to turn the page and finish strong!
6th Blue Stars - Marseille
A narrow one-point win against the Grizzlys wasn’t exactly the highlight of the week, the real test was their showdown against their rivals from Aix-en-Provence, and guess what? They delivered. In a derby dominated by defenses, they struck again, proving their resilience in a high-stakes battle. The defense was rock-solid, refusing to concede a single touchdown to the Argonautes' offense. The only points given up? A kickoff return, a safety, and a field goal, nothing more.
On the offensive side, things were much livelier. They kept the playbook wide open, even pulling off a two-QB-designed play, with Hadrien Lynda dropping a perfect dime to Robert Fargeon. A bold call, executed to perfection. This was a statement win, and with the playoffs on the horizon, they’re proving they’re built for the big moments.
With the playoff race heating up, every game is now do-or-die. If they want to secure a spot in the most crucial part of the season, they have no choice but to beat the Ours next week. This is the kind of matchup that separates contenders from pretenders. The stakes couldn’t be higher, and after their recent performances, they need to prove they can rise to the occasion. It’s time to show if they truly belong in the postseason conversation.
7th Grizzlys - Perpignan
As we mentioned before, the Grizzlys took a tough loss against the Blue Stars, but the very next week, they bounced back with a win over the Dauphins. The real question is, what does this victory actually mean? Is it a sign of their true potential, or just a routine win against a weaker opponent? It’s always tricky to gauge whether a performance is genuinely convincing or simply a reflection of an unchallenging opposition. Either way, a win is a win, but they'll need to prove themselves against stronger competition if they want to be taken seriously in this playoff race. That being said, they’ll have the perfect opportunity to prove themselves as they head abroad to face Cannes. Right now, Cannes is the strongest team in the South, making this a real test of their level. This game isn’t just about securing a win, it’s about showing they can compete at the highest level. A strong performance, even in a loss, could send a message that they’re still a team to be reckoned with. Now, it’s up to them to rise to the challenge.
8th Diables Rouges - Villepinte
A draw against the Cougars isn’t exactly something to celebrate, it was the kind of game where there was plenty of offensive movement, but no real solutions found. A frustrating result, to say the least. Then, the following week, things got even tougher as they conceded a heavy score against the division leader. It’s a rough stretch, and right now, it’s hard to predict how the next games will unfold. But hey, maybe this is where the Diables Rouges flip the script. We’ve seen crazier turnarounds before, so who knows? They definitely have something to prove next week against the Molosses.
9th Argonautes - Aix-en-Provence
As we mentioned earlier when talking about the Ours, with only one game played this week, this will be a short review. Yes, they lost, but it wasn’t a performance to completely forget. While their playoff hopes might now be slipping away, it’s clear the Argonautes are not throwing in the towel just yet. We have to respect that mentality, especially after seeing their post-loss message on Instagram. They’re still locked in, still pushing to finish the season strong. And sometimes, that kind of mindset can lead to some surprising upsets down the stretch. We’ll see next week against the Dauphins !
10th Léopards - Rouen
This Léopards team is on the right track to remain at the pinnacle of French football. Their loss against the Molosses wasn’t ideal, but it was far from a one-sided affair,so nothing too concerning for now. The real highlight came with their strong performance against the Cougars. It was a well-earned victory, and beyond just the win, it was refreshing to see them play with confidence. They’ve now given themselves some breathing room in the standings, but the question remains, are they truly safe from the looming threat of relegation? Only time will tell, but for now, they’ve taken a crucial step in the right direction. Next week presents a tough challenge as they face the Flash. Could this be the biggest upset of the season? It’s certainly a possibility, but regardless of the outcome, one thing is clear: even if they lose, they’ll have a much better showing than the one they put up earlier in the season. They’ve grown since then, and this matchup will be a true test of how far they’ve come. Win or lose, it’s all about the progress they’ve made and whether they can compete with one of the top teams.
11th Dauphins - Nice
It feels like for every step they take forward, they end up taking two steps back. It’s really disappointing that they haven’t scored a touchdown in the past month, especially considering where they thought they’d be at this point in the season. The Dauphins might still have a chance to grab a win against the Argos, but at this point, a winless season is far from what they expected. It’s a tough pill to swallow, but they’ll need to dig deep and find a way to turn things around before the season slips completely away.
12th Cougars - Saint-Ouen-l’Aumône
The Cougars still have a chance to secure their place in the league, but the road ahead won’t be easy. While their situation remains uncertain, their performance against Rouen, despite the defeat, showed promising signs. If they can build on that display and maintain the same level of intensity, they might just turn things around and keep their hopes alive.
The upcoming match against the Black Panthers will be their final home game of the season, and we can only hope it won’t turn into a one-sided rout. With the stakes higher than ever, they’ll need to put up a strong fight to avoid a crushing defeat and give their fans something to cheer for.
