Las Rozas Black Demons on their way to three-peat in Spain

Last Saturday, April 12th, the first semi-final of the 2025 LNFA was played at El Cantizal Stadium, home of the Las Rozas Black Demons against the visiting Terrassa Reds. At the end of the final whistle, the score was 35-0 for the home team. With this victory, the Black Demons are the first designated finalist of this season, which makes this their 6th national championship appearance in a row. As well as keeping the hope alive for achieving three consecutive national championship victories.

This game marked the first time the Reds qualified for the first division playoffs. They would do so in their first ever season in the LNFA, making this a historic campaign for the Terrassa team. They are without a doubt the revelation team of the year.

A game decided on the ground

A game that lasted only two-and-a-half hours because of the run-first approach presented by both sides. The Black Demons set the tone early led by RB Gonzalo Haro, who on the opening drive of the game, perfectly executed a wide zone to start the scoring only 5 minutes after kickoff. That play set the tone for the rest of the match, in which the “Rozeños” dominated from start to finish. On offense, each and every one of the Black Demons 5 TD’s were on the ground via RB Gonzalo Haro (2 TDs), QB Theodore Landers (2 TDs) and RB Dominic Coffman (1 TD), cementing themselves as the best rushing attack in the league.

Unfortunately for the Reds, they were missing some key pieces for their most important game of the year. Star players such as QB Alex Pacheco and Madrid Bravos signee, DE Mamadou Ka Thiobane were out due to injury. This was felt in their game plan and previously one of the better deep passing teams had to rely on ATH Alpha Jalloh and RB Charlie Take to move the sticks. Las Rozas was well aware of this, and their #1 defense took care of business all game long without letting them score a single point.

Madrid and Catalonia meet for the first time since 2021

After the second semi-final in the LNFA, which resulted in the victory of the Dracs.  The two contenders are now determined for the XXXI Spanish Bowl (SB), that will be played on May the 3rd between Las Rozas Black Demons and the Badalona Dracs, the two clear powerhouses in control of the Spanish football league. This will be the third ever SB meeting between the two teams.

After 3 Spanish Bowls of pure Madrid control between the Osos Rivas and the Black Demons. This will be the first time since 2021 that there is a Las Rozas Black Demons-Badalona Dracs encounter in the most important game in the Mediterranean country. With Las Rozas representing Spanish football from Madrid and Badalona representing Spanish football from Catalonia. Get your popcorn ready because the stage is set and this will be a good one.
