PFL (Poland) Power Ranking Before Easter Break

We’re basically a quarter of the way through the Polska Futbol Liga (PFL) regular season after last weekend. As the league takes a break and players head home for Easter, it’s the perfect time to launch First Down Magazine’s first PFL Power Ranking.

Last week gave us some really interesting matchups. We witnessed a shootout between the Lowlanders Białystok and Silesia Rebels, the Eagles steamrolling the Kings on their own field, an important OT win for the Jaguars, and... Wilki Łódzkie suddenly looking like a dangerous team (???). Since it's not easy to sum up the current Polish American football landscape in just a few sentences, the best way to make sense of it all is through a Power Ranking. So let’s dive in.

DISCLAIMER: This Power Ranking is 100% subjective. While it’s based on the on-field play of the teams listed, you’re absolutely allowed to disagree. I’m not holding any grudges against any PFL teams, so feel free to let us know what you’d change in the comments. Let’s grow the game—not stomp on it.

15. Wataha Zielona Góra (0-3)

Last Game: Loss @ Panthers 49–6

Next Game: @ Tytani Lublin (27.04)

Tough beginnings for a team that only transitioned from 9v9 football last year. Despite scoring points against strong teams like the Panthers and Jaguars, a -121 point differential is brutal. But let’s not kick a fighting team while it’s down. Their next matchup against fellow former 9v9 team Tytani Lublin might be the most important game of the season for Wataha.

14. Białe Lwy Gdańsk (0-3)

Last Game: Loss vs Tytani Lublin 14–20

Next Game: @ Wilki Łódzkie (26.04)

The team from Poland’s Baltic coast put up a solid fight last week but couldn’t shake off their early season slump. Blowout losses to the Lakers and Eagles, plus a close loss to Tytani, put the Białe Lwy (White Lions) in a tough spot—especially with the Lowlanders and Mets still on their schedule.

13. Dukes Ząbki (0-2)

Last Game: Loss @ Wilki Łódzkie 18–40

Next Game: vs Warsaw Mets (27.04)

Last weekend’s loss to Wilki Łódzkie was a missed opportunity. While the Dukes still have some winnable games ahead, they also face the Mets, Lowlanders, and a bonus game against the Panthers to end the season. A challenging path if the Dukes are dreaming of the playoffs.

12. Tytani Lublin (1-2)

Last Game: Win @ Białe Lwy Gdańsk 20–14

Next Game: vs Wataha Zielona Góra (27.04)

After big losses to the Wilki and Lowlanders, Tytani bounced back with a much-needed win over the Białe Lwy. With games against Wataha and Dukes coming up, there’s potential for a small win streak in Lublin. Don’t count them out just yet.

11. Tychy Falcons (0-2)

Last Game: Loss @ Silesia Rebels 36–7

Next Game: vs Armia Poznań (26.04)

A close opener against the Panthers was overshadowed by a blowout loss in the "Silesia Bowl" (trademark it!). The Falcons still have talent and plenty of winnable games, but if the next one against Armia goes poorly, they could be in real trouble.

10. Olsztyn Lakers (1-1)

Last Game: Loss @ Warsaw Mets 48–13

Next Game: vs Warsaw Eagles (1.05)

After an unexpected blowout win in their opener and a solid showing against the Mets, the Lakers look like a team that could hover near playoff contention. The next few games will show whether the Olsztyn Lakeshow is for real.

9. Wilki Łódzkie (2-0)

Last Game: Win @ Dukes Ząbki 40–18

Next Game: vs Białe Lwy Gdańsk (26.04)

Second place in the Northern group! A big win over the Dukes, and now they face the Białe Lwy and Falcons. Is Wilki Łódzkie the surprise contender of the season? They’ll face a brutal stretch after the break—Mets, Lowlanders, and Eagles—but confidence is clearly high heading into Easter.

8. Armia Poznań (1-1)

Last Game: Loss @ Jaguars Kąty Wrocławskie 12–6 (OT)

Next Game: @ Tychy Falcons (26.04)

After dominating the Wataha in their opener, Armia stalled offensively in an OT loss to the Jaguars. With only two games played, there’s still time to climb—but they’ll need a win over the Falcons before the schedule gets tougher.

7. Jaguars Kąty Wrocławskie (2-0)

Last Game: Win @ Armia Poznań 12–6 (OT)

Next Game: @ Silesia Rebels (27.04)

The Jags are unbeaten—but they’ve only played Wataha and Armia. After the break, they face the Rebels, Mets, and Kings. How they handle those games will determine if they’re legit contenders in PFL 2025.

6. Panthers Wrocław (2-1)

Last Game: Win vs Wataha Zielona Góra 49–6

Next Game: @ Kraków Kings (3.05)

The Panthers are proving they’re more than just an ELF farm team. Wins over the Falcons, a close game with the Kings, and a blowout of Wataha all show they mean business. The rematch against the Kings will be telling.

5. Kraków Kings (1-2)

Last Game: Loss vs Warsaw Eagles 45–0

Next Game: vs Panthers Wrocław (3.05)

The Kings have faced the toughest schedule so far—Rebels, Panthers, Eagles—but last week’s 45–0 loss raised serious questions. A win over the Panthers is crucial to lift the atmosphere heading into the second half of the season.

4. Silesia Rebels (2-1)

Last Game: Loss @ Lowlanders Białystok 36–35

Next Game: vs Jaguars Kąty Wrocławskie (27.04)

The Rebels continue to be the Polish kings of shootouts. Their offense, led by QB Jeremiah Tucker and HC Michał Kołek, is electric—but their defense has given up a lot of points. Never a dull moment in a Rebels game.

3. Lowlanders Białystok (2-1)

Last Game: Win vs Silesia Rebels 36–35

Next Game: @ Warsaw Eagles (17.05)

After a narrow loss to the Mets, the Lowlanders bounced back with wins over Tytani and the Rebels. Their showdown with the Eagles could define their playoff seeding—and maybe their season.

2. Warsaw Mets (2-0)

Last Game: Win vs Olsztyn Lakers 48–13

Next Game: @ Dukes Ząbki (27.04)

The Mets are quietly handling their business. After beating the Lowlanders and cruising past the Lakers, they face a favorable schedule until their season finale showdown with the Eagles (Capital Bowl, anyone?).

1. Warsaw Eagles (3-0)

Last Game: Win @ Kraków Kings 45–0

Next Game: @ Olsztyn Lakers (1.05)

The Eagles are a juggernaut. A +162 point differential and zero points allowed all season. HC Deante Battle’s defense is smothering, and the offense, led by QB Jake Schimenz, with weapons like RB Bartosz Gnoza, WR Krzysztof Nosow, and TE Kornel Witkowski, is unstoppable. Right now, the PFL isn’t about who wins the Polish Bowl—it’s about who can even slow the Eagles down.
