Swiss NLA Week 3 Powerrankings

1st. Calanda Broncos The Broncos have a perfect 3-0 record after three games, winning each of their games in dominant fashion. Swiss quarterback Robin Sennrich is already a top favorite for the MVP award. Newly added DB Patrick Grand looks to be an equal replacement for Nordic Storm defender Phil Holm Boye and with Adrian Sünderhauf, it's only a matter of time before he breaks Lukas Lütscher's touchdown record.

2nd. Gladiators Basel

The Gladiators were able to celebrate an impressive Week 1 comeback victory against the most hyped team (Bern Grizzlies). After a Week 2 bye week, they dominated on the road against a strong Thun team and went into the locker room with a 34-0 lead at half time. The next tough test awaits Dwaine Wood's team with the Geneva Seahawks. Basel has the best secondary, the best quarterback and the best WR corps in the league.

3rd. Bern Grizzlies

The Bern Grizzlies were able to show a strong reaction against Zurich and Winterthur after the opening defeat in Basel. If QB Walker Dycus throws even fewer interceptions, it will be hard to stop Bern. The Grizzlies have the best front seven in the league. WR Nolan O'Leary looks like the clear cut favorite for Offensive Rookie of the Year.

4th. Geneva Seahawks

The Geneva Seahawks showed a lot of character and morale after coming back from a ten-point deficit at home against Thun with four minutes left. Canadian star WR Nykolas Pierre-Masse celebrated four scores in his debut against St. Gallen. It's fun to watch the Geneva offense around Clark Evans and Benaya Alerini.

5th. Thun Tigers

The 0-2 record does not justify the Tigers' performances so far. The 37-41 loss in Geneva could still hurt the team's chances of making the playoffs. WR Thomas Gfeller is already the favorite for OPOY and #1 WR of 2025.

6th. St. Gallen Bears

The St. Gallen Bears are also 0-2 and took the expected step back. The loss of WR Kevin Gemperle for the next few weeks hurts the Bears offense, but I still expect the first St. Gallen win soon.

7th. Winterthur Warriors

The Winterthur Warriors have only played one game and, as expected, lost clearly against Bern. The loss of injured RB Leon Simioni for the season hurts the proven run game of Winterthur. At least the Warriors were able to put some points on the board against the strong Bern defense.

8th. Zurich Renegades The Renegades lost 0:71 against the Bern Grizzlies and 0:50 against the Calanda Broncos. It looks like it's going o be a long season for the Zurich team. The only ray of hope: DB Olivier Marty had 2 interceptions against Bern.
