The Wrocław Panthers Defeated by the Frankfurt Galaxy: A Tough Away Game

The Wroclaw Panthers lost in a closely contested match against the Frankfurt Galaxy, ending with a score of 10:20. The game, part of the 4th week of the European League of Football, took place on the turf of the 2021 European champions and last year's semifinalists, adding to the challenge for the Polish team.

Battle in Frankfurt

From the very beginning of the game, it was clear that both teams focused on defense. The hosts went into halftime with a narrow lead of 6-0, leaving the final outcome wide open. In the second half, the Panthers of Wrocław showcased their potential, taking the lead. However, despite their determination and effort, they couldn't maintain the advantage until the end of the match. The only touchdown for the Polish team was scored by Spaniard Adria Botella Moreno, highlighting the international character of the squad.

After the match, Panthers' head coach, Dave Christensen, said: "The game in Frankfurt didn’t go our way, but we are not giving up. We have many games ahead, and our goals remain the same. We will do everything to get back on the winning track next week."

Next Away Game

Next week, the Wrocław Panthers will have the opportunity to improve their record, playing another away game against the Hungarian team Fehervar Enthroners. The match will take place on Sunday, June 23rd at 1:00 PM, with the broadcast starting at 12:55 PM on Polsat Sport 3, Polsat Box Go, and the league's streaming platform.

After returning from Hungary, the Wrocław Panthers will prepare for their next home game, which will be held on July 7th at the Olympic Stadium. They will face the Prague Lions, hoping for the support of their fans and a return to winning form.
