Week 8 GFL Power Ranking

#1 Potsdam Royals

For the first time this season, the Potsdam Royals did not score 50 points or more, yet they still managed to secure a convincing 40-19 victory against a strong opponent from Dresden. The game saw a tight first half where both teams effectively neutralized each other, leading to a narrow 7-6 lead for the Dresden Monarchs at halftime. In the second half, however, the Royals, led by quarterback Jaylon Henderson, turned up the intensity and left no doubt about who would emerge victorious.

With this win, the Royals head into a well-deserved bye week. They will return in Week 10 for a highly anticipated rematch of last year's GFL Bowl against the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns. Unlike the Royals, the Unicorns do not have a bye week and will continue their season rhythm uninterrupted, potentially giving them an edge in the upcoming clash.

Their only loss came in Week 1 against the formidable Potsdam Royals.
